![]() Do you float? Have you heard of it before? Well, the technical term is called "Sensory Deprivation". Lying in shallow water, pitch darkness, & your birthday suit, you are submerged into 1000L of epsom salt water with ear plugs. No matter what your body weight is, you will float. Well guys, I have booked myself an appointment later this month at the Float Lab in Venice, CA. to test this all out! As you know, I'm really into health and wellness. I'm always open to trying new things because you never know what you'll experience! So this was my shot at finding out what all the hype is about! Once I have my floating experience I will be able to update you with my experiences within this chamber! Anytime I am going to try something new, I do my research to see what the hell it is that I'm getting myself into!! Some of the experiences were as follows: *strengthening the development of your mind *happier *less pain with injuries, but w/ reoccurring use, injuries disappeared *stressless/calmer *out of body experiences *increased theta brain waves (when in deep meditation, your brain emits this) *increased creativity .... to name a few..... My thoughts of why I want to try it: What I find to be very interesting is the fact of being submerged into epsom salt water. From a spiritual p.o.v., any kind of salt is used to "cleanse" the spirit of negativity. If you're into superstitions, salt is used to protect/absorb energy. Ever see movies that draw salt lines to protect entrances/windows of homes, or small piles of salt in the corners of a room for protection. By submerging in 500 kg of epsom salt sounds to me like a STRONG purification/detox of the body, as well as being in there for 2 hours?! Major purification. What is interesting too, the fact that in this tank you are senseless. Nothing to see, nothing to hear, taste, touch.. completely deprived of your body. That means your mind will start to run WILD with things, trying to occupy this void!! Since I have been practicing meditation, I will quiet my mind and start to concentrate on my deeper inner thoughts. I feel I will be able to walk away a more "clearer" and perhaps, spiritually deeper than before. To be left alone with just yourself can be difficult for people who welcome distractions. To be alone and comfortable with self is discipline.
