From the L.A.nd … *

Japanese American R&B artist Brooke Taylor is proving that soul and strategy can coexist. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Brooke is turning heads with a sound that blends raw emotion, silky vocals, and forward-thinking energy.

Her journey started when she jumped on The Steve Harvey Morning Show and stunned listeners with her voice — later earning the title of “Neighborhood Idol” on Big Boy’s Morning Show. Since then, she’s been building her legacy one vibe at a time.

Brooke dropped her debut album Live On Virtuous Energy (L.O.V.E.) in 2011, introducing the world to her fearless, heartfelt style. Two years later, she leveled up with iHuman, a bold collaboration with her band Venus/Mars, whose first single “Forgiveness” premiered on Vevo and caught international attention.

But Brooke’s artistry goes way beyond the mic. She writes, produces, and creates music that’s found its way into Netflix, Hulu, and major brand campaigns — including becoming the voice of the Dasani Twist campaign.

On stage, Brooke has lit up some of LA’s most iconic venues — from the Clive Davis Theater, Wilshire Ebell Theater, and Ford Amphitheater to the AAPI White House Initiative event at the Japanese American National Museum. Her versatility also bridges into hip-hop — she’s the only featured artist on Murs’ album Shut Your Trap, a track that blew up across major hip-hop blogs, and she’s featured on ScionAV’s global project Red Eye to Tokyo.

With her music charting across countries and her sound resonating across genres, Brooke Taylor is more than an artist — she’s a movement. Real. Rooted. Revolutionary.
